Visionary Authority on Leadership Success Charlotte Allen Challenges Leaders to Choose the Unconventional for Exceptional Results for "Rebel Success"

“‘Let’s be status quo like we’ve always been, and just like everyone else,’ said no successful leader, ever!”
~ Charlotte Allen

Charlotte Allen invites business leaders to imagine winning in the market; they’re attracting and keeping the best people and innovating the best products and services. She calls this “Rebel Success” and has set out to help organizations, teams, and individuals apply the secrets of “Rebel Leaders” to achieve success quickly, effectively, and most importantly –– fearlessly.

Especially in times of change and uncertainty, leaders need to stay nimble, embrace new ideas, and seek unconventional, even disruptive, solutions. In other words, they need to think like the Rebel Leader. “Rebel Leaders are innovators, forward thinkers, and non-conformists, leading from the front,” says Ms. Allen. “Rebels are passionate about their view of the future, especially when they’re told their idea isn’t possible. It doesn’t mean ‘only my way.’ It means that successful Rebels keep their eyes on the ultimate vision and the impact they want to achieve.”

As a #1 international best-selling author in four countries, in 24 categories (top 10 in 16), Charlotte Allen is clearly onto something important. In her book, “Rebel Success for Leaders: Lead, Grow and Sell Fearlessly,” she outlines how leaders can apply the strengths of the Rebel Leader to their own leadership style and their teams in practical ways, such as: upping their Rebel magnetism so others can’t wait to follow them, finding and unleashing Rebel talent in their team, and knowing when it’s time to change direction.

Ms. Allen shares three tips to help awaken the emerging Rebel in the leader who wants to accelerate results and make an impact.

Tip #1: Do Something Fearless Every Day. This means doing something new, something different, something maybe even a bit scary. Seek to grow every day by taking on challenges and newness. Establish it as a habit, like drinking water or brushing teeth. She believes that once people do, they will see how much fun it is to be fearless!

Tip # 2: Find Their Voice. Only about 35% of people (that’s less than one-third of all individuals) feel empowered in their work. That number can increase five times when people actively give themselves, bring out their uniqueness, and deliver their best at work. The most important thing a leader can do for their success is to find their unique voice — and express it fearlessly.

Tip #3: Use Gaps as Opportunities. Gaps can be in skills or experiences that a leader doesn’t currently have and could benefit them (there’s always an opportunity to improve). She suggests that any time a person discovers a gap, they should assess and decide to cross that gap, close it, or make it smaller. These gaps can be personal, in a team, or within an organization.

Charlotte Allen hopes these tips will help leaders choose the unconventional path for exceptional results that will make a meaningful impact in their personal and professional lives.
